Facilities Management Ireland Seminar

23 March 2010, RDS, Dublin

David Fagan, partner in the employment law unit of Eversheds O'Donnell Sweeney recently spoke at the Facilities Management Ireland seminar at the RDS, Dublin.

In the seminar, which was held on 23 March, David spoke about the practical issues arising from TUPE. In particular he outlined some of the potential liabilities for companies who win outsourcing contracts, and take over from existing operators.

David outlined many of the practical issues which arise, and their commercial commonsense solutions.

There was a lot of interest in the seminar.

One delegate from the National Rehabilitation Hospital said "I found this talk one of the most valuable of the day especially as "TUPE" has been raising its head a lot of late in relation to tendering and yet I found it quite difficult to find people or information that could put it in context for me in regard to tendering".

Give and Gain Day - 5 June 2009


Eversheds O’Donnell Sweeney today announced details of a new initative which will  offer free legal advice to charities on a range of matters as part of ‘Give and Gain Day’ on 5 June 09. Charities will be able to discuss legal issues that are of concern in a private, professional partner consultation. Any charity can register to take part in Give and Gain Day by contacting Helen Corrigan at hcorrigan@eversheds.ie Barretstown Camp is one of the charities who have already registered to take part.

16th September 08 – Eversheds O'Donnell Sweeney, ACE, and Aon Consulting held a joint breakfast seminar in the Royal College of Physicians to discuss the "Governance of pension schemes that are not open to new entrants".
